Internet Privacy is a Problem and It's All My Fault
Enough is Enough
I recently looked through some of my hubs and blogs that I posted in the last few months and I can't believe how much personal information I was sharing with the world. I quickly went through and unpublished several of my blogs but decided to keep them for myself to read.
I think sometimes I think the internet is my own personal journal and I start posting things about my relationship and personal experiences. Is nothing going to be private anymore? Do I really want people to be "Following Me"?
The answer is no.
Now, I seek to not only remove this personal information about my medical history, sexual experiences, etc but I also seek to shut down unnecessary accounts that are ruling my life. I must have 6-7 e-mail accounts right now. Do I really need that many? No.
Facebook is a big problem. Not only is most of the status updates negative, but I find myself posting negative updates as well because it is so easy to vent that way. I need to return back to paper where it is safer because let us face this fact: Paper can not create drama. (Unless you show it someone and why in the world would I be doing that anyway?)
It's all down to this simple statement: It's all my fault. What I choose to put over the internet is up to me and I must pay for the consequences that follow whether that be positive or negative. On the flip side, I love sharing some of my personal experiences with others, but I do not need to flaunt everything that goes on nor do I need to even do "Status Updates"!
I am not a computer, so why do I need to update anything aside from my wardrobe?
Life is good and that is all I have to say.
